HFD crews respond to 2-alarm fire at high rise in Waikiki

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Honolulu firefighters put out a 2-alarm blaze that broke out in a high rise overnight in Waikiki.
It happened at Discovery Bay, the high rise building on Ala Moana Boulevard where McDonalds is located.
The Honolulu Fire Department responded to the call around 11 p.m. Wednesday.
Officials said the fire started on the 28th floor of the building.
Crews were able to put out the flames in about 15 minutes. No injuries were reported.
An investigation is now underway.
